Also, located in Kal Park, Cosens Bay Beach is, arguably, the entire Okanagan Valley’s best-kept secret. Hike-in only, this little piece of paradise is well off the beaten path. The 2.5 km trail to the beach from the parking lot is mostly downhill and can be a bit daunting coming back on a hot summer’s day, but if you’re up for it, you won’t regret it. Trust us!

At your destination, you’ll find a beautiful, secluded sandy beach, amazing swimming in stunning waters comparable to the colours of the Caribbean Sea, and plenty of shade, as well as picnic tables for a picnic lunch. Make sure to pack in what you’ll need for the day, including your camera, as there are plenty of amazing photo ops in this lakeside oasis. By the way, don’t tell them the Vagabonds sent you.

Valley Vagabonds Inside Tip

If you’re cruising the waters by boat, anchor here for a great afternoon hang out.
