our story

Okanagan Valley Vagabonds - Collage.jpg

“The planet shrugged and we felt her shudder. For the first time in a long time, we realized that the future of mother nature does not rely on human nature to survive - quite the opposite. We are just a branch on a deeply rooted family tree, the one that’s behaving poorly.”

— Yvette Rasmussen

Okanagan Valley Vagabonds is an Indigenous-owned effort operating as a circular enterprise.

Committed to showcasing businesses that put people, place, and planet ahead of profit means supporting local operators and strengthening access to the resources that create well being…but mostly, it means treating the planet with respect and reverence.

No one does that better than BC’s Indigenous people and our province’s purveyors of goodness. To heal, we must walk together on the road to reconciliation and recovery. Okanagan Valley Vagabonds is, at its essence, an ode to those who forge the paths we follow. Travel them well.

The Vagabonds.
