Waterside Vineyard and Winery North Okanagan Enderby

We visited Waterside for the first time in early Spring when everything was fresh and people were ready to venture out onto the wine trails. We hadn’t realized there was a homegrown wine scene happening just north of us but trust me when I say - you can start planning your wine get-away the minute you hit Route 97.

This quaint family-run winery also runs alongside the Shuswap River with a view of Enderby Bluffs, so you know - you really have ventured off the beaten path to find it. On a little known wine trail, it is the perfect way to extend an Okanagan adventure or a Kamloops wine tasting tour. Actually, it’s a fine trail to experience all on its own.

In 2018 Kevin Verschoor and Jennifer Marcotte purchased the winery. Looking for a simpler way of living they left behind their fast-paced Alberta lifestyle becoming part of the local community and wine trail. Knowing nothing about winemaking or running a vineyard they learned fast - attracting visitors from near and far to their homestead to sample their wares.

What we loved most about our visit was the charm and humility of the owners and simple uncomplicated ease of their wines. The whites were refreshing examples of simpler times, they are true to their north Okanagan terroir and authentic setting. Today, Waterside offers canned “Sex in a Bottle” for when you’re feeling conveniently naughty, or not! COVID 19 restrictions apply.
