McIntyre Bluff Hike and Covert Farms

Your hike begins at Covert Farms, a local landmark and purveyor of valley goodness that nurtures a symbiotic relationship with the land, and those who tread gently upon it. The view of McIntyre Bluff is magnificent from this vantage point, but the sights from the top of the climb are extraordinary and worth the amateur level hike up the Bluff. Make sure to bring along some snacks from Covert Farm, a water bottle and camera.

We recommend making this excursion a daylong experience as the hike, if done well, will take just shy of 4 hours. When you reach the Wine Lounge sign at Covert Farms, you’ve found the trailhead and well-prepared instructions on how, and where to climb. Check their site for updated COVID 19 restrictions and protocol.

Valley Vagabonds Inside Tip

Covert is an organic farm offering u-pick blackberries and blueberries. Make sure to cut some additional time to experience the bounty of this gem where fresh fare is served on the outdoor patio and tastings of amazing preserves, vinegars and rip local cheeses are done daily.
