Lindon House - Heritage Home

We were incredibly fortunate to be recommended by Tourism Kelowna to attend a fabulous early evening tea party at Lindon House in Kelowna. It was a busy time for The Vagabonds so a decadent event sounded like a proper adulting thing to do at the end of a hectic week. A red carpet welcome was the first treat in an experience steeped in class and imperfectly understated perfection.

Our first “aha” moment was meeting Don and Linda, our gracious hosts and owners of Lindon House when they welcomed us to their home - the rest is simply serendipitous.

The carefully restored mansion, originally built in 1905, was one of the first Edwardian houses in Kelowna and remains a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Over a half acre of well-appointed gardens punctuate the integrity of the property, capturing the simplicity of bygone days and timeless elegance

The 4,000-square-foot house is occupied by the owners with restorations designed to include a banquet room and guest cottage. Renowned designer Suzanne Petti oversaw the Lindon House’ renovation in 2010 involved in imagining every detail of the tasteful renovation including boycotting a carefully sourced sofa that Don had ordered for the home.

The inviting furniture, intimate spaces and decadent ambiance are the things stories are made of. We hope you have the opportunity to attend an event in this exquisite home. Visits and events are restricted with COVID 19, contact for current protocols.
