Hardy Falls Hike

Hardy Falls is the perfect child-friendly walk. This two-kilometre round trip is one of the easiest waterfall trails in the Valley plus it’s pretty accessible for strollers or wheelchairs, both of which we’ve seen make the hike.

Well shaded, the trail follows Deep Creek from a dedicated parking lot just off of Highway 97 to the viewing platform at the waterfall. There are a series of bridges weaving back and forth across the creek making it interesting for the wee ones and easy to navigate for those with mobility issues.

A nice time to visit is in the spring when the Kokanee salmon are running the creek, a significant waterway for the Sylix Nation and restoration of salmon in Okanagan Lake.

Remember, this trail has a lot of berry bushes and during spawning season a lot of salmon are in the creek which means hungry bears may be found foraging in the area - so please be bear aware.
