La Frenz

Nagging Doubt artisanal wines bear handcrafted labels chalked by Dana Tanamachi

The recently renovating tasting room at LA FRENZ is designed to provide the ultimate in sit down and savour wine tastings. Lead by expert enthusiasts the seated tasting is served by the flight with several options available, we suggest you select the one that best reflects the wines you enjoy. There are fees for the tastings but these are waived with the purchase of a bottle and we have no doubt that you’ll leave with at least one. Two of our favourites are the Desperation Hill Pinot Noir, which we consume slightly chilled in the summer, and the Alexandria - a sassy and complex white. All of their wines can be consumed immediately but they cellar beautifully so save a few if you can.

This is a popular stop so we suggest you reserve a spot for your tasting so you aren’t held up or worse yet - disappointed. The vineyard and views are beautiful and the wines are handcrafted by Jeff Martin, hands on owner/winemaker who follows his grapes from bud burst to bottling to show - where they’re well awarded representations of excellent Canadian wines. COVID 19 protocols are in effect.

Valley Vagabonds Inside Tip

The view of Okanagan Lake from the tasting room graced the Canadian $100 bill from 1954 until 1975.
