Sudbury and Skaha Lake Beaches

Say hello to Sudbury Beach on the sandy shores of Skaha Lake. This is where you’ll find the hard-core kite and windsurfers catching some waves as they glide alongside the vast expanse of shoreline that spans the distance between Skaha and Airport Beaches. Make no mistake, there are two distinct beaches here and it’s well worth the effort to visit both of them.

The cool kids hang out here where water sport and people watching rival beach volleyball for the favourite pastime, but don’t forget it’s also a great swimming beach that’s close to concessions and a paved path for roller blading, cycling or a quick jog to a local patio. Between the two sandy beaches is where the lazy river rafters enter Skaha so expect to see a few tubes and party barges floating just off shore.

Valley Vagabonds Inside Tip

There are picnic tables and public washrooms on site, as well as an adjoining campground for those who want to live on the beach and we ask you, who doesn’t?
