Theo's Restaurant

Cycle-up, for a gloriously tasty experience.

Constructed forty years ago, Theo's was designed capturingTheo and Mary Theodosakis's memories of their favourite eating spots in Greece. The restaurant is a maze of rooms that look as though they have been pieced together to provide a gathering place for locals to break bread, feast and drink wine - which it is.

It also serves as a tribute to generations of family members whose black and white photographs and memorabilia add interest to the campy yet comfortable décor.

The menu is authentic Greek and there is a lot to choose from. We ordered the Seafood Platter and a bottle of wine from their well-appointed selection of local offerings. The starter Greek salad, included with the platter, was served with freshly baked buns and delicious sundried tomato dipping oil.

It was so good we ate it all barely leaving room for the main event - a feast of prawns, squid and assorted seafood presented on an ample bed of vegetables, fingerling potatoes, and flavourful rice. It was authentically Greek - delicious, far more than enough for two, and fairly priced. COVID 19 restrictions apply make sure to reserve ahead.

Valley Vagabonds Inside Tip

We were delighted to discover that much of the produce and herbs used to prepare our meal was grown in the restaurant's rooftop garden or at the family's Naramata property.
