Kalala - West Kelowna Bench

This Westbank winery holds a tender place in our heart for providing great organic wine and passionate service. One of the first wineries we toured, the year it was declared certified organic, the succulent yet sweet characteristics of their ice wines made us fall in love with this sun kissed-nector of the Gods.

We were fortunate to spend quality time with the Kamail, owner and viticulturist, during our first visit to Kalala and are refreshed to see him still charming visitors to the winery ten years later. This winery is slightly off the beaten path but well worth the vagabond. Situated on the upper bench of Westbank, it offers unique vistas of Okanagan Lake from the “Kalala” tasting room, which translates to miracle place. We couldn’t agree more.

Valley Vagabonds Inside Tip

During peak season arrive earlier in the day to avoid crowds and make sure to bring home a bottle, or two, of their award-winning ice wine – they cellar very well.
