Willow Beach is one of the go-to favourites for locals residing in West Kelowna. The west side of the lake boasts more natural beaches situated on slightly calmer waters, making them destination stops for kayakers and boaters who enjoy the less populated shoreline. While many of the beaches in West Kelowna are naturally pebbled, Willow Beach is an exception to the rule boasting sandy expanses for building some fine sand castles.
Wrapping leisurely around Powers Creek Point and the public boat launch, the Gellatly boardwalk meanders through the park, which plays host to some of the most magnificent willows in the valley. Expect ample parking, shaded picnic areas, picnic benches, washrooms and a few volleyball enthusiasts.
Valley Vagabonds Inside TipMake sure to bring good walking shoes as there are numerous attractions and other beaches a leisurely stroll from Willow.
